If you haven't visited this place since the renovation, go check it out. We were pleasantly surprised. It is located right in Rye Town Park, overlooking the Rye Beach. The inside is dominated by a semicircular wooden bar with two big TVs tunes to sports channels msg you can sip a beer and watch the game. There are also about a dozen tables indoors. But the treat is that there are about 15 outdoor tables where you can sit in the sun (or under a parasol) and have drinks or a meal.
The beer list had 10 good beers on tap for around $8 a pint. The wine list had a very good selection, including roses, a New Zealand Sauvignon blanc, and a Sancerre, along with the typical cabs, pinots and Chardonnays, for Bout $11 per glass. They were about 10 oz pours.
I had the tuna stea sandwich, which was seared rare, with good romaine lettuce, tomato and bacon on brioche. It was tasty and came with greens. My wife had fish tacos with a spinach salad. The salad was a big bowl with strawberries and almond slivers. The fish tacos were decent, with a breaded whitefish and a cabbage slaw.
Service was prompt and the food showed up at the appropriate temperature.
Great, easy to find hangout for Rye and nearby residents..

I wish I could give negative points. Came here and ordered eggs Florentine well done. The chef couldn't get that right. The manager came out to ask if I wanted something else or to try again and I was so aggravated and done at that point that I didn't want anything else. The check came and the nice kid who brought it was convincing me to order something else "maybe a dessert? That always makes me feel better." I agreed for a dessert. The new check came and we were CHARGED for the desserts the nice boy was convincing me to order. Such bad costumer service!!!
The rest of the food was also over fried.
To sum it up- will never be back!!!

We sat for 20 minutes without menus, water or being approached by a waitress so I kindly asked if somebody could help us. I was told they were short 100 menus and that somebody was printing me a paper copy as we spoke. Then Amy felt it was appropriate to smack my back and say "thanks for being patient" In a condescending voice. Needless to say touching a patron in any manner is completely inappropriate.

After being treated like that we didn't even bother to stay and order.

My husband and I had a lovely dinner here last night. The service was great and the food was wonderful! We ordered a seafood tower, it was so fresh and tasty. We also got the fish and chip entree, the fish was cooked to perfection-crispy and light.
The view is also spectacular sitting on the patio. It doesn't get much better then this!

THIS WAS THE WORST DINING EXPERIENCE! I wouldn't go back if they paid me. We sat down, and were ignored for 10 mins, okay fine maybe it's busy, then we get menus but no water. My boyfriend and I order the Ahi Sandwich and Boil to share.

The sandwich comes out fine but the boil HAS A HUGE PIECE OF HAIR RIGHT ACROSS THE TOP. Now because I was inspecting my food I noticed this piece of crab with the body but only one leg on top as well cause I thought it was odd. I call the waitress, she takes the food, 15 minutes go by and she brings back A COLD BOIL with that same piece of crab. Clearly you just picked the hair off and left it sitting back there. GROSS.

Now I call the manager. He apologized and swears it's not the same plate. He then asks if we want something else. After MUCH back and forth we settle on a Lobster Roll. It was very ... fine. The bill comes and the Lobster Roll is on it. What?!? You convinced me to get it to begin with!! I didn't want anything and he essentially upcharged me a replacement for A HAIR IN MY FOOD.

Of course he then avoided our table the rest of the night. I would NEVER EVER EVER EAT HERE AGAIN. Disgusting.
